Are you searching for the right job?

I've had this discussion with many people..."I need to quit my job to look for a job".. not everyone has that luxury...looking for a new position is time consuming...everyone wants a resume written a different way..interviews are time consuming..Are you applying for the position you are really qualified for or the position you think you are qualified for? Are you being realistic in your search? Let's discuss....

I am trying to get into the field of accounting as an entry level accountant but keep running into difficulty again and again. I do not know the resources to enter this field. I believe I'm in the appropriate field due to my propensity for numbers and wanting to contribute to a business as their financial interpreter.

Leon,an IT governance career, is more of a consultative role supporting business. IT exp of course is needed. IT governance helps the business meet objectives, achieve compliance.
Strong written and verbal communicatins skills are a must to present summary of findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
Anyone else have more to add?

I currently have a bachelor's degree in Management with an emphasis in Accounting. I have 2 years experience as a bookkeeper. Yet I still have difficulty in finding that elusive entry level accountant job. Can you offer me any advice? I can certainly use it! =)
